Danny's initial goal was to move up the ladder in the mafia. Wouldn't be too difficult for the likes of him. He had the brains and the brawn necessary to compete for a spot on the mob's roster. After getting approved for foot soldier type status, he took a meteoric rise that saw him cozying up on the Don's good side. Through funds accrued, Danny manages to open up his own club and it is quite successful. Regardless of the monetary gain and respect earned, Danny cannot help but feel a sense of emptiness. That's when Yamelia comes into his life. She is everything he could ask for. The girl is a total sweetheart and she is crazy about Danny. The feeling is mutual. Her and Danny get mighty close when, seemingly out of nowhere, the Don requests Danny to do the unthinkable. Don Rechenzo wishes his wife whacked for sleeping around with a local detective. Danny reluctantly agrees to the Don's offer and takes on the assassination contract but immediately regrets doing so. All hell breaks loose from there.  
Oh, did I neglect to mention that there is psychopathic mental patient with a heart of gold residing at a psychiatric ward across town who somehow, someway fits into all of this? My bad…
