What happened when they counted Andrew out? Dismissed his chances for any type of humanly success all because he was an autistic boy possessing an inability to speak? Well, it's quite simple. What happened is Andrew fell in love with the game of chess, mustered up all his courage and got a supportive girlfriend, and trained himself day and night to compete in the grandest chess tournament his town had ever seen. Winner would advance yonder to partake in even greater competitions with heftier prizes and increased recognition for accomplishment.
There would be only one thing standing in his way. A peer of his by the name of Isaac Detun. Isaac appeared all sweet and wholesome to the public eye, but deep down, he was rotten as rotten could be.
Yes, Andrew would be placed face to face with his polar opposite in order to decide who would take home not only bragging rights but also who would be victor in the influence category.
It’d be a classic clash between the good and the misguided. What an epic struggle it would be. An awesome battle indeed. Albeit awesomely devious at certain points on Isaac's accord.
Moral of the story, Andrew sought to defy odds. Odds that wished to see him wither into the abyss. Odds which desired what is unrighteous to be given center stage 4 DAYS!
Andrew could not let that happen!
The boy dug deep and made absolutely certain to try his best at pursuing his passion. Chess. Ironic, soon after he found his love for the game of pawns, knights, bishops, rooks, kings and queens, he discovered his love for himself. The kid was gifted. Gifted to an astonishing, dazzling degree. The majority of the world would never have anticipated such an adolescent could be so brilliant. How could they have? Andrew could not talk! He's hopeless! A hopeless mute! Oh, but you’re incorrect. See, he could talk. He just talked in a different way. And he would make certain everyone heard his message. Loud and clear.
